Empathetic Care for Complex Young Minds

Every child deserves to be understood. Their struggles aren’t always easy to see!

Dr. Ronna Schneider founded Peaceful Minds Pediatrics (PMP) with the goal of providing accessible, thoughtful medical care for children and teens facing ADHD, anxiety and depression.

This care is made possible through private telehealth visits designed around patient needs, available by appointment only in the following states:

Pediatrician. Mentor. Advocate.

For over two decades, Dr. Schneider has helped families navigate the ups, downs and in-betweens of growing up. She has built a reputation on her thorough, relatable and sensitive approach. She believes great care starts with listening — really listening — to what kids and parents have to say.

Dr. Schneider decided to become a pediatrician when she was three years old. Her pediatrician took such thorough, great care of her that she was inspired. She told her mom after an appointment, “I’m going to be a lady doctor, just like my doctor.”

She wasn’t joking! She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She continued to pursue her education with a pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Over the years, she has earned the trust of countless families through her clinical excellence, open communication and genuine care. Parents consistently describe her as approachable, patient and deeply invested in each child’s growth and well-being.

Why a Pediatrician for Mental Health?

Pediatricians are often the first to notice when something’s off. They see a quiet child withdrawing, a teen losing focus or a once-energetic kid now anxious or overwhelmed.

Dr. Schneider bridges the gap between physical and emotional health. She offers medical diagnosis and treatment for ADHD, anxiety and depression without endless referrals or waitlists.

She focuses on medical management, not therapy, and works closely with families, schools and therapists when needed. Her approach ensures every child gets coordinated, effective care.

A Special Focus on Girls

Girls often mask their symptoms of ADHD, anxiety and depression. They’ll appear “fine” while struggling silently. Dr. Schneider is passionate about helping these patients feel seen and supported.

Her approach helps parents and teachers recognize subtle signs. She empowers kids to understand their own minds without shame.

Telehealth Works

Telehealth is a lifeline for many families. Children are often more relaxed in their own environment, which makes for more natural conversations and accurate assessments.

Through secure, easy-to-use video visits, Dr. Schneider can connect with families wherever they are. This access reduces barriers and makes consistent, personalized care possible.

A Note from Dr. Schneider

“I started Peaceful Minds Pediatrics because too many families were waiting months — or giving up entirely — before getting the help their children needed. I wanted to create a space where care feels accessible, personal and hopeful again.”
